Introducing Adrienne Stewart
Adrienne is one of our talent artists participating in "Artists for the Earth " Sept 7th Adrienne Stewart was born in Gisborne, New Zealand. Gisborne is situated on the East Coast of the North Island. Her work expresses the traditions and freedom of creative inspirations of the Maori culture. Adrienne was born into a Maori traditional family and is the eldest grandchild of her Mothers family. She is the Mother of two beautiful children. Her contemporary creativity is inspired by Maori lore. Adrienne uses flax (long grass bushes) and paintings which include a combination of copper wire and beads to highlight the finishing touches of her creations. She studied at a well-known educational institution of Maori Contemporary Visual Arts and Design, ?Toihoukura? based in Gisborne. A learning school for inspired and motivated artists. Adrienne is currently living and working in Perth, Western Australia.
