Anna is one of our talented artists participating in "Artists for the Earth" fundraiser Sept 7th
Born in Western Australia, Anna Willoughby completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT University in 2009. Graduating with high distinction, Anna won the 2009 Open Bite Student Prize, and was a finalist in the Port Jackson Press Graduate Printmaking Prize. With a passion for printmaking, Anna has since become involved in the West Australian printmaking community, and won both the West Australian Printmedia Digital and Best Edition Award in 2010.
Anna has also been inspired by an international approach through mentors at Sydney College of the Arts, RMIT Printmaking and others during her time abroad in the U.S.A, France, Spain and Mexico. In 2010 Anna undertook training with world renowned printmaker, Henrik Boegh, at Grafisk Eksperimentarium Studios in Spain, and curated the international project 'Exchange'. Inspired by these events, Anna works primarily in the medium of printmaking, sculpture and drawing, reflecting on relationships between animals, environments, images and memory.
